Electronexus

Digital signal processing is beautiful to me in its precision, the incredibly complex dance of electrons, everything orchestrated in perfect concert! It's abstract to the point of feeling magical to humans, even those who design it. This piece attempts to extrude the complexity into a much larger 3D environment to allow it to be better appreciated.

I originally made this for an electronics retail company for their catalog cover.

Fun fact: I got PCB (printed circuit board) files from an hardware engineer friend, and converted them to use as building blocks for this piece. The circuitry was originally designed for a high speed camera to measure the trajectory/spin of balls.
