Imagine a world with strong tides, and porous rocks. Tiny aquatic reside in the pockets of the rocks, slowly making them more porous over time. During high tide, they hatch, consume, develop, and lay more eggs just in time for the waters to recede again. The creatures die as it ebbs and their juices slowly drip out of the rocks, running through the shallow tidepools in a smear of vibrant colors. Inspired by my exploration of beaches in southern California.
